it's funny, if i were to break down facetious... i would think it was a compliment. Facetious...
Facet = side, as in a diamond or skill, like someone has many facets... ous = multiple, so if you put it together, multiple sides, or many skills, etc etc.
instead it means (merriam webster's synonym) Waggish, or in jest.
